TAKE A STAND AGAINST RACISM
Between April 28 & May 1, over 300,000 people across the United States are expected to take a stand against racism and do their part to help advance the YWCA's mission to eliminate racism and increase the collective impact in promoting racial justice and civil rights in the United States. In 2015, about 250,000 people participated in 750 individual stands in 44 states.
On April 29, the YWCA Greenwich will host a public stand at Greenwich Town Hall Meeting Room, 101 Field Point Road, at 10 am. Joined by over 70 YWCAs in the USA and upwards of 70 participating sites within the Greenwich community, the annual, town-wide event accentuates the importance of combating bigotry and racism wherever it exists. Highlights include a YWCA Town Hall event featuring dignitaries and musical selections.
