ONE FERRY OUT OF SERVICE
One Ferry Out of Service
The Department of Parks and Recreation announces that due to unforeseen mechanical issues, one of the Island Beach ferries, the “Indian Harbor”, will be out of service for the coming weekend.
As a result, ferry service to Island Beach will run every hour on the hour 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. until further notice. We will continue to have additional crew to expedite the boarding and disembarking process. This will enable the “Island Beach” to carry her maximum capacity of 294 passengers.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and we are working to resolve the issue. We will provide updates as necessary. Ferry service to Great Captain Island will not be affected and will operate on its posted schedule.
