Emily St. John Mandel is the author of four novels, most recently Station Eleven, which won the 2015 Arthur C. Clarke Award and was a finalist for a National Book Award and the Pen/Faulkner Award. Doors open at 6 PM. Essay Contest presentation begins at 6:30 PM. Greenwich Library, Cole Auditorium.

Dr. Mark Schenker, Dean of Academic Affairs at Yale College will discuss Shakespearean motifs in Station Eleven. This year's selection examines the relationship between the art of survival and the survival of art - whether that 'art' is a comic book or Shakespeare's plays.

Bring an object of personal significance to the Byram Library to help create a temporary museum filled with objects and their stories. Co-sponsored by the Greenwich Historical Society.
