Former Ridgefield restaurateur and CIA Certified Event Planner, Nancy Burke, has made The Boathouse in Westport more than an upscale waterfront restaurant serving innovative American cuisine - she’s made it a getaway. Burke is co-owner of this seaside escape, which is located atop the World Class Saugatuck Rowing Club.
The Boathouse is true to its name, and has recently been renovated into a world class restaurant without losing its mystique as a riverside hut you might see in Nantucket or Block Island.
Take a deep breath, sit back, enjoy the views, sip a glass of chardonnay, and indulge in farm-to-table fare prepared in house by Executive Chef Paul Scoran and his “crew” of culinary experts. This is your time; your place.
The nautical blue interior walls ornamented with photos of rowing competitions, and ceiling adorned with a single scull, oars and crew gear, are gentle reminders that you are indeed in a Boathouse. Lunch and dinner are also served on the enclosed and heated deck making al fresco dining at The Boathouse a year-round experience.
“There are not many places in Connecticut where you can sit outdoors overlooking the water on a cool, fall evening,” says Burke.
The extensive wine list, award-winning, locally sourced menu and daily specials, coupled with the picturesque setting make The Boathouse truly unforgettable; a place to make and cherish memories.
In addition to the waterfront restaurant, The Boathouse is a a full service, premier catering company and can accommodate up to 200 guests, right onsite.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, serving lunch from 11:30 a.m. through 3:00 p.m., with dinner service from 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday. The Boathouse is closed Sunday and Monday.
