Peter and Wendy Corbin, Rye Brook parents and owners of Corbin’s Crusaders after school program and day camp, announced that they will be moving their sports and adventure summer day camp to Greenwich, CT this summer. The camp will be situated on 38 acres of a private school with 2 baseball fields, 4 tennis courts, 2 outdoor basketball courts, 2 soccer fields and 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool and full size gym on North Street in Greenwich.
The camp will have a sports and outdoor adventure focus with swimming twice a day in addition to sports such as soccer, baseball, lacrosse, basketball, gaga, flag football, tennis, volleyball, archery and much more! Children are exposed to all sports with the option to also pick a concentration each week. Swim includes instruction and free swim daily with fun water inflatables including slides!
Corbin’s Crusaders day camp runs from 9-4 daily for boys and girls ages 3.5-14. Kids under 6 are mixed and then single sex over 6. There is optional bussing, towel service and hot lunch included. The camp allows campers to go anywhere from 1 week to all 7 weeks.
The camp ratio is as low as 1:5 with a staff consisting of many professional coaches who work with kids year round and some have high level playing and coaching experience. There is also a full time nurse on site.
The camp directors are Peter and Wendy Corbin of Rye Brook. Both have extensive experience working with kids and are the proud parents of twin boys. Peter has a Master of Education from Columbia and a BA in Psychology from Lehigh. Having spent 20 years at a traditional camp in New England, he rose through the ranks to a leadership position as head counselor and program director. Prior to founding Corbin’s Crusaders, Peter was the Director of BILLDAVE Sports Club.
