Over 200 people came to celebrate Israel's 69th Independence Day at Greenwich Town Hall this past Sunday, May 7.
The Yom Ha’atzmaut festivities, presented by UJA/JCC Greenwich, brought together the entire Jewish community from all congregations and organizations in town and attended by Senator Richard Blumenthal.
In addition to flag raising, which has been a tradition in the Greenwich Jewish community for over 30 years, there was Israeli food, family-friendly activities, and live music performed by Carmel Academy student bands.
