Wednesday, January 25, 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Lecture by Dr. Paul Hayes Tucker, professor of art at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. He is the author of Claude Monet: Life and Art, Monet at Argenteuil, Monet in the ‘90s, and Monet in the Twentieth Century. Claude Monet’s most famous paintings arguably are the nearly 200 he executed of his water lily garden in Giverny from approximately 1900 until his death in 1926. This lecture will examine the intricacies of these remarkable works and their many levels of meaning.
