“Receiving news about a cancer diagnosis can be a very confusing and overwhelming moment in your life. With all the new emotions to process, it is important to have organizations like CancerCare to help provide understanding and support during the healing process,” said Fred Camillo, Connecticut State Representative, House District 151. “They provide a safe place to share experiences and offer guidance and give you a community of people you can depend on.”
This community-based event brings together friends and families to walk or run in memory of those they have lost to cancer, honor survivors and support those who are currently facing a cancer diagnosis. Registration fees are $40 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under and $10 for children for the Fun Run only. All participants will receive a commemorative Walk/Run for Hope t-shirt. Awards will be presented to the top male and female participants in both the overall race and age-based categories. The event will be held rain or shine and parking is free.
