White Plains Family-Owned Luxury Transportation Biz Sharpens Business Focus
Frequent Westchester County Airport travelers may notice a changing of the guard at the taxi booth, beginning early April 2016.
LSW Chauffeured Transportation (LSW), which provides premier chauffeured service to the most exclusive residents and business people in Westchester County, New York City and Connecticut, is moving its DLC Ground Transportation Services from the Westchester County Airport to a nearby location, from which it has long operated its luxury travel branch, LSW.
“Travelers who fly in and out that airport will continue to enjoy top-notch reliability from the LSW and DLC driver,” says the company’s CEO, Melissa Thornton. “Clients will make their flights on time and arrive home safely and stress-free.” The change in location, in part, is due to LSW’s ongoing commitment to put the customer-service experience first. Without the distraction of managing the taxi booth at the airport, DLC and LSW will remain solely focused on promptness, safety, and reliability for airport travelers, as well as all of their ground transportation customers. “Additionally, it allows LSW to offer a broader variety of vehicles to the airport traveler,” Thornton says. “On-going initiatives include guaranteed advanced reservations and the LSW mobile app.”
New company programs have also enabled LSW to continue to strengthen and forge corporate relationships and charitable partnerships in the community, reflective of the gratitude the company has for working in such an vibrant and collaborative area. For example, notes Thornton, “Over the past year, LSW has developed platforms with the Business Council of Westchester. We participate in their annual charity golf event and the Westchester Business Expo.” Additionally, LSW participates in the annual Women in Business Awards Luncheon and is a proud member of the Westchester County Association. “One of the most heart-warming things we did recently was providing transportation for Westchester residents, media personalities, and philanthropists Lee and Bob Woodruff as they headed to and from their events which benefit The Bob Woodruff Foundation, including the annual Stand Up for Heroes program,” recalls Thornton. “The Woodruffs were so appreciative, but it was our honor to support them.”
