Stamford Arbor Earth Day Family Festival featuring Tree Planting Ceremony by Stamford Mayor David Martin

The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens is pleased to announce the date of its Arbor Earth Day Family Festival on Saturday, April 23. The Arbor Earth Day Family Festival is a major Bartlett Arboretum and Gardens-sponsored event celebrating both Arbor and Earth Day in a fun, family-oriented venue. This year's event on April 23 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm will be held on the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens grounds at 151 Brookdale Road, Stamford.  Activities will include a Tree-Planting Proclamation and remarks by David Martin, Mayor of Stamford at noon. In addition, there will be children's activities, touch-a-truck, face painting, plant and tree demonstrations, music entertainment and free workshops.   Sponsors include Bartlett Tree Experts and LaRocca’s Country Market. White Fir and Colorado Blue Spruce tree seedlings, donated by Bartlett Tree Experts will be given away. Food will be available for sale. Admission to the festival is FREE. The rain date is Sunday, April 24th.

"The Arbor Earth Day Family Festival is a great way to explore the Bartlett Arboretum, said Carlene Armetta, Bartlett board member, the children's classroom and Nature Explore Classroom will be open for children and families with a variety of gardening, science and art activities along with an opportunity to meet our 2016 Summer Camp staff". Families from all over the tri-state area will join together to enjoy the Festival on Bartlett’s 93 acres –which include a greenhouse, hiking trails, wetland ecosystems, Champion Trees and the Melquist Rhododendron Garden. There is something for everyone in this beautiful natural environment where you can play, learn and have fun!
